AT Navigator

The AT Navigator Service

Your AT Navigators

The AT Navigator service is delivered by people with lived experience of disability, who use assistive technology (AT) themselves. They are called AT Navigators.

AT Navigators use their own experience with AT to help other people learn, explore options, and make good choices. The AT Chat Occupational Therapist supervises the AT Navigation Program and AT Navigators and provides their health professional perspective, alongside the AT Navigators’ lived experience expertise.

AT Navigator steps

The service follows three simple steps:

Connect

1

The AT Navigator talks with you to learn about your goals and what you want help with.

Create

2

You look together at what is working well and what is not. Then you decide on the most important AT goal.

Control

3

The AT Navigator shares different AT options and supports. They help you compare choices and, if needed, connect you with professionals.

Designed with AT users

The AT Navigator service was designed together with AT users to make sure it is useful and easy to understand. People who have used the service said it helped them feel more confident and in control when choosing AT.

AT Navigator was the first service of its kind and became the basis for AT Mentor.

Your AT Solutions Guide

The AT Navigators provide people with a personalised AT Solutions Guide to help them explore their assistive technology options. If you need written advice for funding for AT, this is  part of the AT Mentor service.

If you want information and ideas about AT that can help you choose what is right for you, but you don’t need detailed reports for funding, then AT Navigator may be the right service for you.

Give us a call, email or fill in the enquiry form below for more information.
