Do you prefer apps or hands on planners?
I’m definitely an apps person! I like having everything in one place that I can check wherever I am. I also love how easy it is to move things around, add reminders, and update plans as life changes, without feeling like I need to start over.
Do you like to plan out each day or live on the edge and go unplanned?
I’m very much a planner. I like to plan out my day and usually my week too. It honestly makes me feel calmer. Once things are written down and scheduled, I’m not constantly running through a mental checklist in my head. It takes the pressure off and helps me focus on what I’m doing instead of worrying about what I might be forgetting.

Is there other assistive technology you find useful for managing your cognitive load?
I don’t always think of them as assistive technology, but I use quite a few tools that help lighten the mental load. Calendar reminders are a big one, they act like a nudge at the right time, so I don’t have to rely on memory alone. Task lists help me break bigger things into smaller, more manageable steps. I also use notes apps and quick checklists to capture ideas as soon as they pop into my head, which stops everything piling up mentally.

Any goals for the coming year?
This year is my “Year of Connection.” I want to be more intentional about spending quality time with the people I love. That means actually planning catch ups, protecting time for family and friends, and being more present when we’re together.
