Behind the scenes documentary: Turning to White

This 15-minute documentary follows Blind filmmaker Tony Sarre during the making of the short film Turning to White. Tony and co-director Lincoln discuss the accessible system they created so Tony could direct the film.

Some of Tony's key pointers for using assistive technology (AT) for filmmaking are:

Write down ideas and add notes about your project on Magnetic whiteboards.

Use a digital labeller. It plays an auditory message against codes to identify an object.

Get a Bluetooth headset. It makes sure you can communicate easily.

Be creative! You'll be surprised the AT solutions you can create when you think outside of the box!
